38th day of practice - Ordering New Equipment

So yesterday I played pretty much the whole practice routine and I have to say that it works pretty fine with just a metronome, playing "Bloodline" and "The Final Hour" from my mind. Still I am moving the double bass exercises down 10 bpm to 170 because I just don't feel like I'm ready for 180 yet.

Besides that I'm feeling a little sloppy improvising at 125bpm but I will try to get on that level of course.

Anyways I'm now doing the first finger exercise in french grip and at about 110-115bpm and thats going to follow the other bpm pattern. The second finger exercise stays as it is. I'm also practicing a little bit to get the free stroke, but thats after the routine on the pad.

Now for the main part, the equipment changes. I ordered a new set of batter heads for my toms (Evans G2 coated Fusion 10/12/14", Link (German site)). They are double layered (can you say that? ^^) and will probably endure a little longer, also because I've started to loosen my grip a little.

I'm also ordering a new MP3-Player today so I can play the songs (and I already produced some metronome files, maybe I can upload them in another post). I chose to order this one (Sony Walkman S-544), because it is supposed to have a very good sound quality (I only concentrated on that). And the Axis pedals are still not here but I got an E-Mail from the shop saying they have arrived in England now and they will send me my tracking number soon.

Thats all of the important information for today.

greetings
